How SSL certificates work

Security & SSL

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encrypts the connection between your visitors and your website. It's what makes the padlock appear and enables HTTPS.

On TransPark

All sites get a free Let's Encrypt SSL certificate, issued automatically during site creation. It auto-renews every 90 days.

When SSL won't issue

  • DNS isn't pointed to our server yet
  • Domain has CAA records blocking Let's Encrypt
  • Too many certificate requests in a short time (rate limiting)

If SSL didn't issue automatically, go to your site settings and click "Retry SSL" or open a ticket.
